Accessibility

The short version: we want this site to work for you, and if it does not, we would genuinely like to know. Every page is built to be read with a screen reader, driven from a keyboard, and used without a mouse or JavaScript.

What we have done

These are things this site actually does, rather than things we intend to do:

• Every page is usable from the keyboard alone. Menus, forms, the cookie banner and the vIQ assistant can all be reached and operated with Tab, Enter and the arrow keys, and the focus outline is always visible.
• The forms work without JavaScript. The waitlist and contact forms are plain submissions. If scripts are blocked, slow to load, or fail, they still send.
• Text contrast is checked against the background it sits on, including placeholder text inside form fields, which is the one that gets missed most often.
• Images carry alternative text that describes what is in them, and decorative images are marked so a screen reader skips them rather than reading a filename aloud.
• Motion respects your settings. If your device is set to reduce motion, the entrance and scroll effects do not run. Nothing on the site flashes, and nothing moves on its own in a way you cannot stop by changing that one setting.
• Headings are in order and mean something, so skipping through a page by heading gets you a real outline rather than a list of styling choices.
• Pages reserve space for images before they load, so text does not jump out from under your cursor while you are reading.
• Automated accessibility checks score 100 on every page, and we re-run them on every change.

If any part of this site is difficult or impossible for you to use, please tell us through the contact form. It helps if you can say which page you were on and what you were trying to do, but do not let a missing detail stop you from getting in touch.

We will reply and tell you what we can do and when. If something is broken and we can fix it, we will.

This page will change

Accessibility is not a thing that gets finished. As the site grows we will keep testing it, and when we find something we have got wrong we will fix it and say so here.
